Joseph Pierce got his PDC in 2009 in Gainesville Florida. He has been teaching and practicing permaculture in north central Florida for nearly 15 years, specializing in food forest design, water management and sustainable construction. He currently co-owns Mosswood bakery and gardens in historic Micanopy Florida where he acts as baker, gardener, plant nursery manager, regularly hosts permaculture workshops and maintains a 2 acre food forest demonstration site jam packed with zone pushing bananas, 21 bamboo varieties and all the Central Florida fruit trees. He can occasionally be found behind the counter serving espresso as the “barefoot barista”. Joe’s passion for permaculture is contagious and his information delivery is easily understood.
